WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT BAMBOO?

Natural bamboo wood is a natural plant that is fully biodegradable and can sustain up to 3 feet (1 meter) a day for some species. It is a renewable and sustainable resource that will help to eliminate your plastic waste in the environment and help you to become waste-free

Bamboo is also biodegradable which keeps the planet free from harm. Bamboo only takes around 6 months to compost, while the plastic alternative takes 100s of years to FULLY break down. Bamboo is also known for being a tough durable plant that can survive even the harshest of conditions nature has to offer. It's naturally antibacterial properties aren't destroyed during the manufacturing process.

CARING FOR YOUR BAMBOO CLEANING BRUSH:

Very little extra care is required for a bamboo cleaning brush. But, here are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • Responsibly dispose of the package. Compost, burn or recycle the packing whenever you can.
  • Keep it dry. Do a quick wipe with a dry towel after you finish cleaning with this brush. This will ensure the longevity of your bamboo toothbrush. Store it in an upright, clean glass jar or container.
  • Upcycle. You can reuse your bamboo brush when it becomes worn-out before recycling it. Use it as a scrubber for cleaning the grout in your shower, rubbing stains out of clothing, and polishing faucets and drains in your bathroom.
  • Remove the bristles. Before you compost your bamboo brush, make sure you remove the bristles by simply pulling the bristles out in small sections with a pair of pliers. Use a secure grip and strong pliers, and the bristles should come out easily. It's important to make sure that the bristles are removed before you compost the handle.
  • Compost. After you've removed the bristles, you can now compost the bamboo handle. You can break up the handle a bit with a hammer to ensure it composts easily. The handle should return to the soil within 6 months. Even though nylon bristles are too small to be recycled, composting the handle will significantly reduce our planet's plastic waste problem.
